Since I came to the world of Sims a little late (no computer to run it on) I don't mind waiting a bit to get a new expansion. Just back up my neighborhoods (and whatever else I don't want to lose) and install FT when I get ready for it.Ĭare to fan the flames of my worry? Advice? Just want to point and laugh? (really, I live to pre-worry things, it's my hobby and I have great enthusiasm for it-is there a secret worry club? if so, I should be the president)Īt least for now, I'm with you. I'm tempted to just go balls to the wall with this. Now I've read through the big ass threads at MATY about how to get rid of secur rom and all that but (obviously) it only made me more confused. Now, using a no-cd crack simply involves the re-naming of one game file/folder and then using the crack as instructed (whatever that may be, I haven't looked into that yet).Īm I over simplifiying this? It seems like I am.Īnd, do I really need to be worrying about this? It seems like a lot of people had no issues with secur rom post BV installation BUT.there are too many variables, it seems. So, in order to prevent secur rom from being able to do its thing, you need to access the game through an alternative route (aka a no cd crack). It's only able to DO anything if you fire up the game using BV or higher. The way I understand it, if you have the Teen Stuff pack installed but are firing up the game via Seasons or lower, secur rom is there but not able to really DO anything. So I need some clarification on what level of worry I should be at and what I need to do to prepare for the arrival of FT.
